Man arrested in connection with Livingston murder, police say | YourCentralValley.com

LIVINGSTON, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Lingston police have identified a suspect they believe is responsible for the death of a man in August 2022.

On August 31, 2022, Livingston Police were dispatched to the area of ​​Walnut Avenue and Franci Street for a report of shots fired and a male subject lying on the ground, according to officers.


When officers arrived, they reported finding Navneet Singh Aulakh in the 1500 block of Davis Street.

According to officials, Aulakh suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers and paramedics attempted to revive him but were unsuccessful; Aulakh was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say Livingston police investigated the shooting and were able to find evidence that led to the identification of a suspect. The suspect was identified as Ulises Alvarez Monge.

On Tuesday, Monge was taken into police custody at the Merced County Jail on a warrant issued by the Livingston Police Department.
