Man stabs woman multiple times in Lauderhill

LAUDERHILL, Florida. – A man stabbed a woman multiple times in Lauderhill on Saturday, police said.

According to Sgt. Parys Thomas, a Lauderhill Police Department spokesman, officers responded to a call to a home on Northwest 12th Street between 58th and 56th Avenues around 6:15 p.m.

Lauderhill police found the injured woman in the house. Lauderhill firefighters were also on site and took the woman to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.

“She is currently in critical condition,” Thomas wrote in a statement released shortly after 7:30 p.m.

A man fled after the stabbing. According to Thomas, he later turned himself in to a police station in Lauderhill. Detectives are investigating the stabbing.
