Taylor Morrison Moves Forward on Multiple New Housing Communities in Cypress

Builder and developer Taylor Morrison has five neighborhoods under construction in the Cypress area with more than 3,300 single-family homes planned.

“Due to the continued need for housing in the growing Greater Houston market and our focused approach to design and planning, we have focused the majority of our housing on move-in ready homes,” Todd Rasmussen, Houston division president at Taylor Morrison, said in an email. “This process will be efficient, yet flexible enough to meet the needs of the Greater Houston new housing market.”

Yardly Cypress is one of the area’s first purpose-built rental communities, with 240 units planned. Rasmussen said the project includes single-family homes and single-story duplexes for rent.

Home features include stainless steel kitchen appliances, quartz countertops, full-size washers and dryers, and doggie doors allowing pets access to a private grassy backyard.
