Shooting at Spanish Lake leaves at least one dead

As of Friday morning, it was unclear how many victims there were or what led to the fatal shooting.

SPANISH LAKE, Missouri – At least one person was killed in a shooting Thursday night in north St. Louis County, according to St. Louis County police.

The fatal shooting occurred sometime before midnight Thursday in the 1200 block of Lakeview Avenue in Spanish Lake. There was a heavy police presence at the scene.

Until Friday morning, it was unclear how many victims there were or what led to the shooting.

Life Outside of Violence “helps people who have been harmed by knife, gunshot or assault get the treatment, support and resources they need to find alternatives and break the cycle of violence.”

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis has the Neighborhood Healing Network, which supports people who have been victims of crime or violence or who have experienced a traumatic incident.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people recover from a gunshot injury. The BRIC was created to help people being discharged from the emergency room after a gunshot injury.
