Craig Monroe is accused of sexual misconduct

Detroit Tigers sportscaster Craig Monroe is under fire after serious allegations surfaced on social media. A woman has accused Monroe of sexual misconduct during his time with the Port Charlotte Rangers minor league team in the late 1990s. The allegations suggest that this behavior continued years later when Monroe moved to Detroit.

According to the allegations, this behavior continued when Monroe moved to Detroit. Since early June, he has not appeared at Bally Sports Detroit shows because of these allegations. Both the Tigers and Florida police are investigating.

Bally Sports Detroit announced that Craig Monroe is no longer on the air and will not be back for a while, ClickOnDetroit reported.

Monroe, through his lawyer, has subsequently expressed his willingness to cooperate with police to clear his name and has strongly denied the allegations. He said the allegations were false and damaging, which shows that he is convinced of his innocence and wants a clear investigation.

In a statement, Bally Sports Detroit said: “Monroe has not been on the broadcast schedule to date and will remain so indefinitely. We will have no further comment and all questions should be directed to Monroe.”

In addition, Monroe is not appearing on the broadcasts and people are wondering if he will stay at Bally Sports Detroit.

Monroe himself responded to the allegations through his lawyer, stating: “Craig Monroe takes allegations of this nature very seriously and would never commit or tolerate such despicable behavior.”
