A man has reportedly been found guilty of aggravated assault in connection with a 2021 incident in Santa Rosa County

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) – A man is awaiting sentencing after being found guilty of aggravated assault, according to the Florida First Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

Florida First District Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden announced the verdict after Brian Scott Sanders, 53, was found guilty of aggravated assault on a victim 65 years of age or older in a jury trial on June 28.

The charges stem from an incident on May 15, 2021, at Stripes in Navarre, Florida. During the incident, the defendant and members of a motorcycle club reportedly attacked a local man who suffered “multiple subdural hematomas and facial injuries” as a result of the attack.

On September 5, 2024, Sanders will face a sentencing hearing presided over by the Honorable Clifton Drake.
