German teenager sentenced for planning ISIS attack on Christmas market

A 15-year-old was found guilty and sentenced to four years in prison by a German court on Friday after planning an IS-inspired attack on a Christmas market, the Associated Press reported.

The teenager, who was arrested in November, had planned to drive into the market in a rented truck and kill as many visitors as possible.

The youth had previously posted a video in an online group in which he announced an attack on “infidels”. The video is said to have contained the symbol of IS.
