Teresa Giudice talked about the payment she received for the debut season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey in the Wednesday episode of her new podcast.

After greeting her former co-stars Jacqueline Laurita54, and Kim DePaola63, to her show, Teresa, 52, spoke a number of RHONJ Topics, including the allegations against her husband Luis Ruelas50, her daughter Milania Giudice‘s recent car accident and her family feud with Joe And Melissa Gorga45, and also announced her salary for the first season.

“It was very low,” Jacqueline noted in the June 19 episode of Turning the tables Both she and Teresa confirmed that their salaries were over $20,000.

“(But it was) not that much more,” Teresa clarified. “I remember the first year it was over $10,000 and then the clothes we bought… It’s like I spent what I earned. So it wasn’t that much.”Joe Giudice) says: “You didn’t even make any money.”

According to Jacqueline, she and her colleagues “got smart” before the start of the second season after realizing that they “should actually be earning a lot more.”

“(We) got a lot more in the second season,” she revealed.

While Teresa said she signed up for the show “for fun,” the last few seasons have been anything but entertaining for her and her husband, who will be a guest on an upcoming episode of her podcast.

“The last two seasons have been particularly hard on (Luis),” she said. “(And it was) my family that did this to him, so I’m sorry. But I think this season everyone will see what really happened, that people were spreading lies.”

Speaking about her daughter Milania and her car accident, Teresa admitted that her 18-year-old daughter was “so sad.”

“I just bought her a brand new Mercedes-Benz ($60,000). She’s only had it for a month and the other guy missed a stop sign and she’s so upset, but I say, ‘Listen. It’s okay. Things happen in life. We can’t get upset about it. We have to make something positive out of it,'” Teresa reasoned. “She’s going to college in two months and I say, ‘It’s okay, I’ll take you wherever you want to go. As long as you’re OK, that’s all that matters.'”

Looking back on her upbringing, Teresa said she came from a “close-knit Italian family.”

“I don’t know what happened now. No, I’m just kidding. But things changed when other blood came into the marriage,” she continued, seeming to allude to Melissa’s marriage to her little brother.

Teresa also shared that her mother had suffered miscarriages before she was born. Shortly after her mother conceived her, she and her father moved to the United States from Italy as immigrants.

Although Teresa spoke very positively about her childhood, she admitted that her parents did not express their love to her until she was an adult.

“I’m so into the ‘I love you’ thing because I want my kids to know how much I love them and vice versa. Because growing up, my parents never told me they loved me. I guess that was an old-fashioned Italian thing,” she surmised. “So when I had kids, I just wanted them to always know how much I loved them. We’re always like that. The first time my parents told me they loved me was when Gia started telling them. My kids have changed my parents.”

In the podcast, Teresa and Jacqueline also revealed that they both had a crush on RHONJ.

“I was very extroverted and I loved going out until the show, but then I became so introverted and after the show I had social anxiety and didn’t want to go anywhere or do anything,” Jacqueline said. “I literally avoided going out. It was really bad until I moved (to California). Now we go out all the time… (But) when you go out, you feel like you’re in a fishbowl and everyone is staring at you. It’s very uncomfortable.”

Teresa said, “I feel the same way. You have to worry about someone taking a photo of you… a terrible photo of you. I get nervous at concerts. I like being in the suite because there are a lot of people there.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
