WILDWOOD CREST, NJ — A Philadelphia woman attacked a 10-year-old boy and his father and bit a police officer after she got “out of control” in the pool at a Wildwood Crest motel, police said.

Fallan Turner, 43, was apparently “very intoxicated” when police arrived at the motel in the 6200 block of Ocean Avenue around 2:30 p.m. on June 17, a news release said.

Witnesses said Turner was “out of control in the pool,” police said. She apparently grabbed an unrelated 10-year-old boy and spun him around in the pool and submerged him underwater, police said.

When the boy’s father tried to intervene, Turner jumped on his back and “inappropriately grabbed him,” police said.

Turner reacted aggressively when officers spoke to her and was arrested. She punched the arresting officer in the face and tried to resist as she was handcuffed, police said.

During the investigation at the police station, she remained belligerent with the officers and “even bit one officer on the hand,” according to the police. None of the officers were seriously injured.

Turner was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated assault on law enforcement officers (two counts), resisting arrest, sexual assault, failure to provide fingerprinting, harassment (two counts), and disorderly conduct.

She was taken to the Cape May County Correctional Facility.
