Sheriff: Robeson County man charged in ATV shooting

ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WBTW) — A Red Springs man is facing felony charges after police say he shot a person in the leg during a road rage altercation over the weekend.

Jacob Manuel Hardin, 18, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He is currently being held without bail at the Robeson County Detention Center.


Officers responded to a call to an address in Rowland on Sunday evening, where they found a person who had been shot in the leg.

At the time of the shooting – which occurred just before 11 p.m. – a patrol officer stopped a person believed to be Hardin near the intersection of Recreation Center and Deep Springs Road in Maxton.
