Burglar broke into Norwalk home while resident slept: police – NBC Connecticut

Police have arrested a man accused of breaking into a Norwalk home early Saturday morning while the resident was sleeping and then attempting to take her phone while she called 911.

The resident was able to call 911 at around 4:36 a.m. on Saturday.

According to police, she told dispatchers that she woke up and saw a man standing in her house. He tried to take her phone when she tried to call 911. He then ran away before officers arrived.

Investigators reviewed some surveillance videos and identified a suspect.

He was charged with first-degree burglary, interfering with an emergency call and disorderly conduct and his bail was set at $500,000.
