Hong Kong police officer dead after being found at police station with gunshot wound to the head

A Hong Kong Police An officer was found with a gunshot wound to the head at the regional headquarters of a marine unit on Sunday.

A police spokesman said the senior police officer was found collapsed in the afternoon at the regional headquarters of the maritime police in Sai Wan Ho, east of Hong Kong Island.

The officer, who was reportedly a veteran with around 30 years of experience, was pronounced dead at the scene.
