Woman in Nashville sexually harassed by food delivery driver

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 43-year-old man has been charged with sexual assault after allegedly groping a woman after bringing her food.

Sadriddin Azizov was arrested on Wednesday, June 12, for the incident that occurred on March 27, 2024, in Nashville.

According to court documents, starting at approximately 2:15 p.m., the victim was contacted by the restaurant she ordered from and informed over the phone that the delivery driver could not reach her apartment. She then walked across the street from her apartment to meet the driver, later identified as Azizov.

According to Metro police, Azizov gave the victim half of her order and asked to take a photo. The victim agreed to do so, but soon refused after attempting to take a photo of himself and the victim.

She asked Azizov for the rest of her order and when she had both hands full, he grabbed her right breast before driving away, according to Metro police.

Investigators believe Azizov was hired as a driver by the Nashville restaurant and was not employed by the food delivery service from which the victim ordered the food.

The victim identified Azizov in a photo lineup as the man who had grabbed her.

Azizov was booked into Metro Jail on Wednesday and charged with sexual assault. His bail was set at $5,000.
