2 suspects taken into custody after chase

ALTOONA, Wis. (WEAU) – Two suspects were arrested following a chase, according to Altoona Police.

According to Altoona Police, on June 9, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Altoona Police identified a vehicle associated with Dane Weber, who was wanted for domestic violence.

Authorities attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle fled, resulting in a chase.

The officers used a technique to finally stop the vehicle.

The occupants of the vehicle were arrested.

According to Altoona police, the driver was 21-year-old Raina Rodefer of Eau Claire. Rodefer is a convicted felon and is on probation for drug and property crimes. The passenger was 25-year-old Dane Weber of Eau Claire.

Altoona police said officers searched the vehicle and found what they believe to be a firearm, THC, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and over $15,000 in cash. Methamphetamine paraphernalia and THC were thrown from the vehicle during the pursuit and seized.

Rodefer was arrested on suspicion of fleeing and eluding police, second degree reckless endangerment, possession of THC (2nd and above offense), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a felon, five counts of bail jumping and probation violation.

Weber was arrested on suspicion of jumping bail and other charges.
