CLEVELAND (WJW) – The FOX 8 I-Team has learned that the City of Cleveland is investigating what it calls a “cyber incident.”

A spokesman for the mayor’s office said: “We have not yet confirmed the nature and extent of the incident, but we are taking it seriously.”

In fact, Cleveland City Hall will be closed on Monday, as will offices in Erieview.

The city says emergency services (such as police, fire and ambulance) are not affected. Other systems have gone offline.

“These systems will remain offline until we better understand the situation,” the city said. “We take cyber threats extremely seriously and are working expeditiously to remediate the situation.”
