NYPD: Man found dead in Upper Manhattan house

MANHATTAN, NY (PIX11) — A man was found dead in a Morningside Heights home early Saturday morning, police said.

Police identified the man as 40-year-old Edgardo Guillermo Ortiz Palacious after he was found unconscious and unresponsive in his home at 3:15 a.m., according to the NYPD. Emergency responders took him to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he was pronounced dead.

The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the victim’s cause of death; the investigation is ongoing.
