Motorcyclist from Titusville fatally injured in accident in Melbourne

Melbourne police are investigating after a Titusville man died in a crash involving his motorcycle and a Tesla on Saturday morning. According to Melbourne police, the crash occurred near the intersection of West NASA Boulevard and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Officials believe a 2022 Tesla Model Y attempting to make a left turn from the westbound lane veered directly into the path of a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle traveling eastbound, causing the motorcycle to crash sideways into the Tesla. First responders attempted to resuscitate the motorcyclist and perform other life-saving measures before he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene. Melbourne police have identified him as 34-year-old Benjamin Fish Jr. of Titusville. Investigators are trying to determine if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
