Chris Brown of Boardman, Ohio, was arrested on drug charges 6 months after a house search

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — A Boardman man was arrested at his Maple Drive home Tuesday, nearly six months after police searched his home and found various drugs and cash, according to reports.

Chris Brown, 43, was reportedly arrested around 10:15 a.m. for drug possession and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers searched Brown’s home with a search warrant around 9 a.m. on Dec. 21 and found $1,821 in bundles consistent with drug trafficking, as well as various substances taken for testing that tested positive for xylazine, fentanyl and para-fluorofentanyl in February, reports said.

Brown reportedly said during the December search that he was “not worried,” referring to a plastic bag containing white powder and one containing light brown powder because they were “cut” – a slang term used by drug dealers to describe non-drug materials mixed with drugs to make more product. A straw with drug residue was also found.

Several family members, including several young children, were reportedly in Brown’s apartment before they were asked to leave. Brown told police they would not find anything illegal in his home.

Brown is scheduled to appear in court on the charges Thursday afternoon.
