Passengers trapped after rollover accident on the 118 Freeway near the 210 Freeway in Pacoima

PACOIMA, CA (June 6, 2024) – Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident on Freeway 118 on Tuesday evening.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident occurred on June 4 at around 10:20 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, at least three vehicles collided between the 210 Freeway and Glenoaks Boulevard.

Due to the force of the impact, one of the vehicles overturned.

Firefighters had to use hydraulic rescue equipment to free two trapped victims. Rescue workers then took three people to a hospital for treatment with moderate to critical injuries.

Authorities did not release the names of the victims.

The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officials will release more information as it becomes available.
