1 dead in car crash in Fresno County, CHP says

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) – One person was killed in a car accident in Fresno County.

It happened just after 2 a.m. Thursday on Highway 33 near Sutter Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of a pickup truck drove into a railing, causing the railing to pierce the truck.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The identity of the driver has not yet been determined.

Travelers should expect delays in the area as cleanup efforts continue.

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
