Police: Two dead and one injured in shooting in Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids police are investigating a shooting that left two people dead. (May 2, 2024)

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (WOOD) – Two men are dead and one man is in the hospital after a shooting early Sunday morning.

Grand Rapids police said it happened in 200 block of Cesar E Chavez Ave SWWhen officers arrived at around 1 a.m., they found two men shot dead at the crime scene.

One man died at the scene, the other was taken to hospital and later died. Officials were also told a third man is in hospital in connection with this case. Their names and ages have not been released.

The investigation is currently ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Grand Rapids Police Department or Silent observer.
