New York Police Department (NYPD) officials believe the suspects who carried out the attack in broad daylight are still at large. The stabbing occurred in a McDonald’s restaurant in the heart of the Times Square shopping district. The man who sustained injuries in the incident was later taken to a local hospital.

Following the machete attack, police arrested several people in the area of ​​Sixth Avenue and West 52nd Street and 660 Fifth Avenue, according to a report by ABC 7 NY. The victim was stabbed in both legs, the report added. The three suspects, who are still at large, fled the scene after attacking the unidentified victim with a machete.

The motive for the attack on a busy afternoon on New York’s Broadway was unclear. NYPD officials will issue a statement shortly. In the meantime, the investigation is ongoing while the victim is being treated at Bellevue Hospital. The man is in stable condition.
