Gainesville man injured in accident near Hague Dollar General on 441

ALACHUA, Fla. – A 46-year-old Gainesville man was injured today when a delivery truck drove off CR 237 in front of him, next to the Dollar General in Hague.

The pickup truck, driven by a 61-year-old Alachua man, reportedly left CR 237 and was struck by a sedan traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 441. The Alachua Police Department’s investigation determined that the pickup truck driver failed to yield the right of way to the sedan.

The 46-year-old man was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the van was reportedly uninjured.
