Wake Sheriff’s Office makes an arrest in connection with a firearm incident

The Wake County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a woman in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on May 23.

According to WCSO, officers arrested 63-year-old Joann Salley and charged her with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

This is an active investigation and no further information is available at this time.

On May 23 at approximately 12:05 p.m., WCSO responded to a report of a car being shot at and was dispatched to the 7200 block of Abalone Way.

The occupied car was hit by gunfire in front of a house. There are no reports of injuries.
