Jackson MS, Missing Child Alert issued by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation activated the Missing and Endangered Alert on behalf of the Jackson Police Department in an attempt to locate Jaylan Smith, 9, of Jackson. He was last seen on Tuesday evening.

Smith’s last location is in the 3100 block of Charleston Drive in Hinds County, on Tuesday evening around 6 p.m., a few hours before the MBI issued the warning.

According to MBI, Smith was last seen wearing a blue shirt and shorts. He is 1.40 m tall, weighs 29 kg and has black hair and brown eyes.

The MBI alert also states that family members say Smith suffers from a medical condition that may affect his judgment.
