Person killed in shooting involving Gastonia police

GASTONIA, N.C. – A police-involved shooting in Gastonia has left one person dead.

The shooting happened on South Kings Street around 2 p.m

Officials say the person who died was not an officer.

The WCNC Charlotte crew on scene noticed responders from multiple agencies. We have also reached out to the Gastonia Police Department for more information.
