TBI Arrests Former Bledsoe County Deputy Accused of Sexually Abusing Inmate | Local News

The TBI has arrested a former Bledsoe County deputy in connection with the 2023 sexual assault of an inmate.

According to the TBI, former deputy Christopher Peyton Watson assaulted the inmate during transport on Oct. 30.

On Friday, officers arrested the 28-year-old suspect and charged him with rape and sexual contact with an inmate.

According to the TBI, the department no longer employs Watson.
