Houston police investigate possible murder-suicide at Kashmere Gardens neighborhood apartments after man and woman found dead

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Authorities are investigating a possible murder-suicide in the Kashmere Gardens area of ​​Houston.

Houston Police Department officers were called to Coal and Linn streets, where they found the bodies of a man and woman inside an apartment.

It’s unclear how the woman died, but police say her body was covered in sheets and may have been there for some time.

ABC13 has learned the woman’s family initially alerted police after not hearing from her since Sunday.

“When (officers) got here, they found the woman’s vehicle in the driveway. No one was answering the door,” HPD Lt. R. Willkens said. “They broke some glass and got in, and when they got in, they found a horrible sight.”

Officers believe the man, who reportedly had pillows on his head, committed suicide.

“What we think has happened at this time – because they have had a violent past, their family members tell us, we haven’t verified yet – is that the man “We’re working to find out if that’s true,” Willkens said.

Willkens said the man and woman both lived in the apartment and were 35 years old.
