Driver pursued by California State Parks dies in crash after crashing West Cliff Dr. has left.

One person died Friday evening when they drove their SUV off West Cliff Drive. The vehicle crashed into the rocks below. It happened near the corner of West Cliff Dr. around 8:45 p.m. and De La Costa Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a California State Parks vehicle was pursuing the SUV at the time of the crash. No further details were confirmed. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
