Tractor trailer hits Southwest DC Bridge near Tidal Basin

WASHINGTON (7News) — A tractor-trailer reportedly crashed into a bridge and became trapped in southwest D.C. Friday morning, according to the D.C. Fire and Rescue Department.

Officials said they were called to Maine and Independence Avenue, Southwest, around 9:40 a.m. and said the truck appeared to have caused cosmetic damage.

No injuries or hazardous materials were reported and officials said the collapse team was on scene conducting the investigation, officials said.
