7 arrests in drug investigation in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, VT – Seven people were arrested Thursday after a months-long investigation into drug trafficking activity in Springfield.

After searching a home on Valley Street, police said they found 42 grams of fentanyl, about 25 grams of cocaine base, about 56 grams of an unknown substance and a loaded handgun in the wall of an upstairs bedroom with more ammunition. The seven people arrested were:


  • Matthew Runnells, 39, of Springfield, VT
  • Corey Betit, 34, of Springfield, VT
  • Zahira Dullary, 28, of Hartford, CT
  • Jaylenn Baez, 28, of Hartford, CT
  • Cody Greenslit, 35, of Springfield, VT
  • Amber White, 31, of Springfield, VT
  • Elise Nuccio, 30, of Westminster, VT

Runnells, Betit, Dullary and Baez are charged with selling or trafficking cocaine and fentanyl. Greenslit, Nuccio and White were arrested on warrants.

Bail has been set at $25,000 for Runnells, Betit and Dullary, while Baez’s bail is set at $100,000. All four are scheduled to appear in Windsor County Court on Friday for arraignment.
