According to Norman police, four people were injured and taken to local hospitals in a collision Sunday afternoon near Rock Creek Road and 60th Avenue NW.

Officers arrived at the area where the two vehicles collided shortly before 12:30 p.m. Two of the injured are in critical condition and two others are in serious condition, police said.

Police searched for hours for the driver of a vehicle involved in the accident after he fled the scene on foot. He was arrested on Sunday evening.

60th Avenue NW between W Robinson Street and W Tecumseh Road was closed, as was W Rock Creek Road between 48th Street and 72nd Avenue NW, while police investigated. All roads were reopened as of 9:50 p.m.
