Multiple Homes Evacuated After Large Sinkhole Opens Up in West Houston

Multiple homes were evacuated for precautionary reasons after an underground cistern collapsed, causing a large sinkhole in west Houston.

Officials are blaming this on the rain that Houston has had all week.

Eight homes have been evacuated so far, and more may be evacuated after engineers take a look at the area.

Houston Public Works and Centerpoint have been notified.
