Arrested person identified after police chase in Evansville

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – An Evansville man is facing charges after participating in a police chase on Evansville’s west side.

According to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, Jeffrey Sullenger refused to stop during a traffic stop, which reportedly led to a chase near Ray Becker Parkway.


According to authorities, the chase ended when Sullenger eventually crashed into a tree at the corner of Barker and Austin Avenues.

Police said they found drug paraphernalia in Sullenger’s car and he also admitted to drinking before the chase.

Sullenger is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of cannabis, possession of paraphernalia, resisting police and reckless driving.

He is currently being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
