Glendale police patrol car involved in violent collision, one person arrested in handcuffs

GLENDALE, Calif. (KABC) — Glendale police are investigating the cause of a serious crash involving a patrol car and another vehicle on busy Brand Boulevard.

The collision occurred shortly after 9pm near Brand and Windsor Road. At the scene, a police SUV was seen stuck in the median with heavy damage. Debris was scattered across the road. The other vehicle was damaged on the other side of the road.

It is not yet clear what happened, but one person was led away from the scene in handcuffs.

There was initially no information about the injuries.

Police closed Brand Boulevard while the accident was being investigated.
