Four Los Angeles County men arrested for alleged involvement in multiple armed robberies in 2023 – Daily News

Four Los Angeles County men accused of multiple armed robberies, primarily targeting 7-Eleven stores in South Los Angeles over the past year, were arrested Tuesday, July 23, the California Department of Justice said.

The defendants, a 23-year-old from Compton, a 25-year-old from Torrance, a 22-year-old from Hollywood and a 26-year-old from South Los Angeles, were each charged with the Hobbs Act and obstruction of public commerce by robbery, as well as conspiracy to obstruct public commerce by robbery.

From November to December 2023, the defendants allegedly committed several armed robberies at 7-Eleven stores in South Los Angeles and a CVS store in Hollywood. The men jumped over the counters, took money from the register and put it in a black Nike bag while one of the defendants pointed a gun at a customer or store employee and demanded their cellphone or wallet, an indictment says.

Around $7,617 was stolen in the armed robbery spree. After the robbery of a 7-Eleven store on November 28, 2023, the 25-year-old defendant is accused of tagging two other defendants in an Instagram photo he posted with a wad of cash and the caption, “Love my buddies, we get robbed every time,” the indictment states.

The defendants face a maximum statutory sentence of 20 years in prison for each count related to the Hobbs Act, a minimum sentence of seven years for each count of weapons use, or, if convicted, life in prison, the California Department of Justice said.
