Emily’s 6th First Alert Prediction

OMAHA, Nebraska (WOWT) – Skies will be mostly sunny but hazy tonight. Enjoy the last day of temperatures in the 80s for quite a while! Smoke from wildfires in Canada and the West Coast of the United States is the only obstacle to outdoor plans. Air quality will remain mostly moderate tonight.

A long stretch of 30 degree temperatures begins on Wednesday! Plan for the heat and enjoy a pleasant morning and evening. We’ll start at mid-18 degrees and warm up to 30 degrees in the metro… a few isolated afternoon thunderstorms are possible, but it will stay dry for the most part.

Temperatures will remain around 32 degrees until Saturday, but due to the slight humidity it will feel more like 38 degrees…

The worst heat begins on Sunday, we’ve made it a sixth First Alert Weather Day as a string of days begin with 35 degrees or more.

The chance of rain is not promising, but with some moisture around, it will be wetter early next week and the heat index will be at 115!
