Clearwater Police: Woman arrested for drunk driving after rear-ending road construction vehicle

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – A woman was suspected of driving drunk when she collided with a work truck on the Courtney Campbell Causeway on Friday.

The accident occurred just before 2:45 a.m. in the westbound lane

The driver was given a sobriety test before she was handcuffed. According to Clearwater police, she was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.

Westbound traffic was blocked briefly while police investigated the accident.
