Motorcyclist arrested after chase and standoff in Victorville – VVNG.com

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) – A motorcyclist was arrested after leading authorities on a high-speed chase and later barricading himself in his Victorville home.

Before 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) was requested to assist police in pursuing a street motorcycle traveling at speeds in excess of 120 miles per hour on several highways in the Inland Empire.

The pursuit eventually led onto I-15 northbound, where the driver took the exit to Highway 395 and continued north for several miles before turning onto Eucalyptus Street.

The driver then turned onto Mesa Linda Street and eventually entered a dead end street on Gramercy Lane, where he abandoned the 2019 KTM Duke motorcycle behind a residential building and barricaded himself.

CHP officers announced that the house was surrounded and ordered the suspect to surrender. Within an hour, the front door opened and the suspect came out with a cell phone and both arms in the air. He was taken into custody without incident.

Officers confirmed the location of the standoff was at the DMV-registered address of the suspect and the registered owner of the street motorcycle.
