Person found dead after fire in Lexington County home; investigation ongoing | Municipalities

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a death at a home in the 200 block of Oak Ridge Lane.

Lexington County Fire Department responded to a fire at the home Saturday evening and discovered a body inside.

In addition, an injured person was found in a shed on the property. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and is expected to recover soon.

Sheriff’s Department investigators were on site on Sunday and said neighbors should expect a police presence at the house for up to 48 hours.
