Police incident in Northwood, NH, leads to curfew warning – NBC Boston

Residents and businesses in an area of ​​Northwood, New Hampshire, were urged to shelter at home during an unspecified police operation Wednesday evening.

Shortly after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Northwood police said in a Facebook post that due to a “limited police presence” in the area of ​​Ridge Road and Route 4, they were asking residents to avoid the area and seek safety.

Route 4, also known as the First New Hampshire Turnpike, is the main road through Northwood and passes numerous businesses. They said more details would be provided once the situation is resolved.

About an hour later, police said a suspect had been arrested but did not provide any further information.

In the comments section, residents said that as a result of the police operation, several streets in the area were closed and some businesses had to close.
