Fundraiser to support the families of students who died in car accidents

ST. FRANCISVILLE, Louisiana (WAFB) – A community in West Feliciana Parish is coming together to help the families of two students who lost their lives in recent weeks.

Big River Pizza Co. and the Big River Running Club in St. Francisville are hosting a fundraiser on Tuesday, July 16, in honor of West Felicana Schools students Zacarri M. Scott and Rayshon M. Franklin. The young men were killed in separate accidents.

The restaurant says it will donate $10 to the families for each participant who takes part in the run at 6 p.m.

In addition, the restaurant plans to sell water bottles for $10 per bottle, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the families.

The run starts and ends at Big River Pizza Co. The address is 5725 Commerce Street.

The running route leads through the city center.
