6-year-old boy dies after attack by family dog ​​in Lorain

According to Lorain police, a 6-year-old boy died Wednesday afternoon after being attacked by a family dog.

Around 4 p.m., Lorain police were called to a home on East 31st Street after the 6-year-old was attacked, police said.

Officers were informed that the child was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A News 5 crew was on scene and saw several dogs being removed from the home by the Friendship Animal Protective League. The league was at the scene assisting with the investigation, according to police.
