CSPD: Woman arrested for throwing stones and kicking a police officer

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), on Saturday, June 29, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area between West Colorado Avenue and South 19th Street, where they found a woman who had thrown a rock through a window and was following a victim with a rock in her hand.

According to CSPD, the woman brandished a large rock and threw it through the window of a building. She then illegally followed the victim to the building with the rock in her hand. Officers arrived, disarmed the woman and took her into custody.


During the arrest, the woman allegedly kicked an officer. He was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and released. According to CSPD, the suspect was also taken to the hospital for possible ingestion of narcotics and glass.

Once the woman is able to leave the hospital, she will be taken to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center and charged with burglary and assault, CSPD said.
