Semi-trailer crashes on I-79 on Saturday morning

State police say black ice and excessive speed were likely factors contributing to a crash involving a semi-truck in McKean Saturday morning.

The incident occurred shortly before 9 a.m. as the driver attempted to enter the ramp from I-90 to I-79 North.

The truck, driven by an Erie man, crashed through a guardrail and landed on its side on an embankment.

No injuries were reported.
