Sheridan High School assistant principal arrested for sexual assault

A virtual learning assistance director at Sheridan High School is in police custody on a sexual assault charge, according to authorities and sources.

“Details of the investigation are ongoing,” Sheridan Police Chief Travis Koltiska told Cowboy State Daily on Wednesday about Monday’s arrest of 33-year-old Jacob Meyer. “(Police) are still actively working on the case.”

Meyer is listed on the Sheridan School District 2 website as a virtual learning assistant at Sheridan High School and on the SHS website as a blended learning principal.

Scott Stults, superintendent of Sheridan County School District 2, did not immediately respond to a voicemail request for comment Wednesday.

Meyer is charged with second-degree sexual assault, according to a source familiar with the case.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
