TRAFFIC ALERT: Accident on I-95 near Yamato causes traffic delays

UPDATE: As of 7:49 a.m., both situations have resolved, but heavy traffic jams continue in the area.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A serious accident on I-95 northbound in the area of ​​Yamato Road is causing traffic delays in the area. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured. The accident was reported just after 7 a.m. The Florida Department of Transportation issued the following report: “Palm Beach County truck accident on I-95 North, past Exit 48B: SR-794/Yamato Rd. 2 right lanes closed.” We are also reporting a second incident in the area: “Palm Beach County accident on 95 Express South, ramp from I-95 Mainline/Congress Ave. Ramp closed.”

Traffic cameras show significant congestion in the area. The Florida Turnpike remains open Wednesday morning and provides a viable alternative.
