Charles St block reopened after multi-vehicle accident, police said

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – At around 12:30 a.m. Monday, Rockford Police posted a report online of a multi-vehicle crash that caused the 4300 block of Charles Street to be temporarily closed.

Several injuries have been reported and the current status of those involved is unclear. Police have also not disclosed what caused the accident or if anyone will be charged, but it is under investigation.

At 5:36 a.m., police posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the road was reopened.
