Ryan Blaney accuses Michael McDowell of “finding reasons” to cause an accident in New Hampshire.

Ryan Blaney was unhappy with Michael McDowell during the New Hampshire race. Both drivers had different goals for the race. The reigning champion wanted to make it two wins in a row, while the Front Row Motorsports driver desperately needed a win to secure a playoff spot. However, their dreams were dashed when they collided with each other with nine laps to go. McDowell later apologized to Blaney for the incident. Blaney appreciated the apology, but was unhappy with McDowell’s comments defending his behavior. Blaney believed McDowell should have been more cautious. Blaney was disappointed because he believed he had a good chance of winning the race. Despite the disappointing result, Team Penske can be proud of their performance throughout the day. Now they can have more confidence in their chances of defending the Cup Series title.
