Teenagers arrested after assault and attempted robbery in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut (WTNH) – Two juveniles were arrested after New Haven police responded to a report of a robbery on Tuesday, June 18.

According to a press release, police arrived in the area of ​​Sherman Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard at 5:55 p.m. and found a victim. The woman told police she had been robbed by a group of people who tried to steal her wallet and car.

Although the handbag was stolen, the vehicle was not stolen because it had a manual transmission and the robbers did not know how to drive it.

Shortly afterwards, the police found a group of people, one of whom had the victim’s ID and credit cards with him.

The victim suffered minor injuries in the altercation.
